Kenny Belov — Owner [email protected]

Innokenty Belov was born in Moscow, Russia in 1976. His family moved to the United States when he was five years old, and at 17 he was introduced to the world of ocean fishing in Florida. After moving to San Francisco in 1996, he left a career in professional photography to develop a new concept in environmentalism—a socially responsible restaurant with a soul focus on sustainability.

Kelvin Castellanos — Customer Service + Sales [email protected]

Kelvin Castellanos was born in El Salvador, raised in Southern California and has called the Bay Area home for the past 15 years. He has cooked in many classic San Francisco restaurants and was the Sous Chef at Nopalito in the inner sunset for over five years. Kelvin has always had a passion for sourcing and working with the best ingredients! He joined the TwoXSea team in 2020 and is excited to continue his food education through seafood sustainability. His weekends are spent spinning records & starting parties.

Ben

Ben Tolford — Warehouse Manager [email protected]

After 10 years working in various public schools and homeless shelters in Boston, Mass and Columbus, Ohio, Ben moved to the Bay Area with hopes of continuing to improve our planet. While still passionate about social justice, his curiosity in environmental justice turned into his true passion once introduced to TwoXSea. Providing the freshest seafood possible and keeping our oceans safe are what drives Ben daily. Ben lives in East Oakland and volunteer teaches at Elmhurst Community Prep, which he insists is the best middle school in the Bay Area.

Lauren

Lauren Avis Vannatter — Retail + Wholesale – Portland, OR [email protected]

Living and cooking professionally for 15 years in San Francisco exposed Lauren to the unequaled bounty the West Coast has to offer. High standards and a desire for honesty lead her to source from TwoXSea, and after years of butchering and cooking beautiful McFarland Springs Trout, Lauren’s passions shifted to working in the sustainable seafood industry where she put her talents and experience to work for TwoXSea. In 2015 Lauren moved to Portland, OR to offer wholesale to Portland chefs. In 2020 she opened the TwoXSea Retail Seafood Counter at Providore Fine Foods. After a long day Lauren enjoys drinking rosé in the sunshine, or the rain, or the fog…. Her goals are to always learn and be challenged, continue to work with people she respects, and forever love what she does.
